The Woodstock Church of Christ is one of several autonomous congregations of the Body of Christ striving to practice the New Testament Christianity in the Metro-Atlanta area. We strive to do only those things the Word of God authorizes. We seek to "speak where the Bible speaks" and to "remain silent where the Bible is silent," in our worship and doctrine.

We strive to be a very warm and friendly congregation of God's people. Why not come and enjoy some peace in this world that passes all understanding? Hear the good news, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a well of water springing forth into life everlasting. Come worship with us. View our worship schedule.

MATT AMOS | HONOR TO WHOM HONOR IS DUE

Matt AmosThe word “honor” is defined as “high respect, as for worth, merit, or rank: to be held in high honor”. The Scriptures teach that we are to honor the Son, even as we honor the Father (John 5:23); we are to honor mother and father (Ephesians 6:2-3); we are to honor all men, and the King (I Peter 2:17). It appears quite significant that we are instructed to count elders who rule well to be worthy of “double honor”, which, in context, has to do with support or renumeration. Nonetheless, it is clearly implied that out of respect for our elders, they are to be held in high esteem. But why? First of all, for their work’s sake; secondly, for their willingness to care, shepherd, and feed the souls of the flock; and third, for their willingness to one day give an account, not only of themselves, but, as well, of those under their oversight. What an awesome responsibility that elders have chosen to shoulder, simply out of love for the Chief Shepherd, and for each sheep within their fold! Read more

HEART TO HEART - SISTERS IN PRAYER

If you have not revealed yourself to your secret sister, please do so this week! Let her know how much you appreciate the opportunity to pray for her. And mark your calendars for our annual Prayer Breakfast coming up March 24. Even if you don’t plan to participate in the secret sister drawing, please make plans to attend this special morning of prayer with your sisters.

ELDER CANDIDATE - JOE MOODY

Joe Moody has expressed his desire to once again become an elder of the Woodstock Church of Christ, in which position he served for many years before resigning last year. Prayerfully consider Joe Moody and if you have a personal or scriptural reason why he should not serve, please discuss this with Joe. If you cannot work this out, then and only then bring it to the eldership. If there is no scriptural objection to Joe Moody becoming an elder, he will be installed on Sunday morning, February 5.
